With Brazil struggling in its efforts to create a regulated carbon market, the country’s new president is moving to scrap his predecessor’s approach and start anew. Financing carbon-capture projects such as reforestation could also generate carbon credits. For example, a local regulated carbon market could help exporters avoid the carbon border adjustment mechanism the EU plans to charge on some imported products from 2026. Exporters also hope a regulated market would help repair Brazil’s abysmal environmental reputation, a product of its history of deforestation. CNN —The entire board of directors of Juventus, including the club’s President Andrea Agnelli and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene, has resigned over charges of false accounting, a statement from the Italian soccer club said Monday. The Serie A team’s financial statements underwent scrutiny by prosecutors and Italian market regulator Consob in recent months for alleged false accounting and market manipulation. Upon the proposal of Agnelli, the board agreed that it was in the best interest of the club for a new board to take over at Juventus. In its final meeting, the board appointed Maurizio Scanavino as General Manager until a new board of directors will be confirmed in a meeting scheduled for January 18. Juve is third in Serie A – 10 points behind leader Napoli – but failed to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.

Juventus’ season is by no means over, but three huge games in the next week against Lecce, PSG and Inter Milan could go a long way to defining its outcome.

Aceștia au declarat că nu au avut nimic de-a face cu distrugerea tricolorului italian, dar carabinierii i-au invitat să curețe zona pe în care și-au făcut de cap. Localnicii s-au plâns că acel grup de tineri venea des acolo și îi tratau pe toți cu superioritate, iar militarii au avut confirmarea acestor afirmații și din resturile arse ale drapelului găsite la gunoi.
